Making a claim

If you ever have to make a claim, your local Elders Insurance agent will work fast to help you and make sure that it’s handled fairly and without delay. Best of all, in most cases your claim can be handled locally, using local suppliers to repair or replace your insured items.

To make a claim contact your Elders Insurance
agent, whose name is printed on your renewal. If you are unsure of your agent use our Agent Locator.

Motor and Property Claims

For your convenience there are two claim forms that can be printed from the Internet. If you need to make a motor or property claim that is not a glass claim please print the
motor claim or property claim form and fax or post to your agent. For glass claims please see below, and for all other claims please contact your agent.

Glass Claims

If you have a glass claim the process involves two simple steps:

• Step 1- Ascertain your policy details, excess amount, agent name and/or their location.

• Step 2- Contact GNA for domestic and commercial glass claims or NOVUS® for automotive glass claims on the numbers below advising them that you are an Elders Insurance client.

General Insurance Code of Practice

Elders Insurance has adopted the General Insurance Code of Practice including where it applies to claims handling.

Amongst other things, the Code sets minimum standards and timeframes for claims handling and provides you with rights and protections when you make a claim and if you are not happy with the claims process, the time taken to make our decision and the decision itself.

You can find out more about the Code at www.codeofpractice.com.au or by contacting your Local Elders Insurance Representative.
